# Login not retained

I use my desktop to log into HamAlert and it works very well. I log in, change a spot, etc. and after about 5 minutes if I try to make another change I need to log in again. How can my log in be retained?

The session timeout for [hamalert.org](http://hamalert.org) is 24 hours, and in fact I’ve never been logged out after such a short amount of time. Perhaps something in your browser is prematurely deleting the session cookie? (privacy/anti-tracking plugins etc.)
Try disabling such plugins for [hamalert.org](http://hamalert.org), or try another browser to see if it makes a difference.

Thanks for the tips. I believe I found one that was causing the logouts. It was Adblock Plus. Thanks.

I been having the same issue, it very random.
