How do i stop POTA alerts?

Hi all,

I constantly receive POTA alerts for states i do not have triggers set for. I have a trigger set for HI, ID and NV all ssb but i constantly receive pota alerts from other states. How can i stop them please?

Could you post an example of an errant spot as a screenshot from the HamAlert app, with the spot details opened please?

Maybe they’re from trails that cross multiple states. If that’s it there’s nothing you can do I don’t believe.

I do not want any POTAs to send alerts to my phone. How do I filter out POTAs ? W4DNR

Add a “Source” condition to your trigger(s), select all sources that you are interested in, but don’t select POTA. You may still receive a small number of alerts when a POTA station gets spotted on the DX cluster (including a POTA reference in the comments), and at the moment that cannot be completely filtered out, but it will be much less than if you accept spots from the POTA spot source (pota.app).
