I need Shetland for DX Marathon, but I’m not quite sure how to set up a trigger for it. Any ideas?

There are several ways you could do this but the simplest is just choose callsign and then enter LZ0A.

Hello and thank you for the reply. Sorry for the confusion, I meant the Shetland Islands, located north of Scotland in Europe.
For WAE and DX Marathon, GM/S (Shetland Islands) counts as a separate entity, but there is no prefix that is unique to Shetland. Any Scottish prefix may be used from the Shetland Islands. Because of that, I haven’t found a good way to trigger Shetland specifically. Possibly IOTA EU-012 could be used, but that information is rarely included in spots.
Of course, I am also monitoring South Shetland Islands using the callsign LZ0A in a separate trigger for current expeditions. ![]()

Just a funny coincidence that there happens to be LZ0A active right now ![]()

The thing is – in order to be able to offer this as a condition, HamAlert would need some way to determine if a spot concerns the Shetland Islands. It sounds like this is only possible by knowing it from some other source (social media, DX news etc.) not readily accessible by automated means, or if it is included in some parseable way in the spot comments, most typically as an IOTA reference.
How to Set Up a HamAlert Trigger for Shetland Islands (GM/S)
Stations in Shetland use standard Scottish prefixes (GM, MM, etc.), so prefix-based triggers alone won’t work. Thanks LA9XKA for input via mail!
Practical Workaround: Use Known Callsigns via Grid Squares
Identify the relevant Maidenhead grids
The Shetland Islands are mainly covered by IO99 and IP90.
Search QRZ.com by grid locator
On QRZ.com, search for amateurs located in IO99 and IP90. This will give you a list of callsigns associated with Shetland. The resulting list is roughly 90 callsigns.
Combine all callsigns into one HamAlert trigger condition.
Is it OK to publish the full list of Shetland Island calls here?
Sure, no problem! Glad to hear you found a solution.
This is the result of a search on QRZ.com for all callsigns in the relevant grid squares covering the Shetland Islands:
