Passing parameters to URL

I am trying to use a URL GET notification to pass SOTA spots to myself on the the APRS-IS network. To do this I have set the URL to:

The message is passed to the APRS network however the variable is never substituted. The packet picked up by the network is:

2026-09-04 17:30:45 BST: M0RTO>APRS,TCPIP*,qAC,T2TURKIYE::M0RTO-9 :sota {{time}}

What am I doing wrong here? What is the correct way to put in the parameters?

HamAlert does not perform parameter substitution in the URL that it sends a GET/POST request to. The parameters are fixed according to the list on https://hamalert.org/destinations.

To achieve what you want, you’ll probably need to place a simple script (PHP or whatever) on a webserver that accepts the request from HamAlert and places a request to your APRS gateway with the parameters formatted accordingly.
